Chemical Peels

WHAT IS A CHEMICAL PEEL?

Solutions for aging, hyperpigmentation, acne and redness are all possible with less surface trauma while getting optimal outcomes. A chemical peel uses an acidic solution applied to the skin to remove damaged top layers, speed cell turnover, and boost collagen growth for a brighter, more even-toned complexion. By creating a controlled injury at a specific depth, chemical peels stimulate new skin growth to improve skin texture and appearance.

Peels can effectively treat issues like acne, acne scars, age spots, melasma, hyperpigmentation, rough skin, sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles. Though primarily for the face, they can be applied to the neck, chest, and hands as well.

NOT ALL ACIDS ARE EQUAL

MWDA offers a number of Professional Chemical Peels. MWDA offers the highest standard for chemical peels which leverage a unique technology that helps the acids penetrate deeper into the skin with minimal irritation on the surface. Each chemical peel is packed with powerful acids that deliver consistent and reliable exfoliation that medical professionals trust. Many chemical peels have renewed technology which doesn't make the patient peel. Rest assured, your peel is still working even if you don’t see peeling. MWDA carries Glytone Peels, ZO Chemical Peels and Alumier Peels.

WHY GET A CHEMICAL PEEL?

Chemical peels help remove damaged skin cells, allowing healthy skin to take its place to reveal brighter, smoother and renewed skin. Chemical Peels help target a variety of unique skin concerns, like acne, signs of aging, hyperpigmentation and photodamage, as well as target specific concerns on the face, hands, back & chest, eyes and neck. Each non-invasive procedure helps support collagen production and resurface skin to maintain optimal skin health.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each peel procedure takes around 20 minutes depending on the type of peel and number of layers applied. During the procedure, a mild tingling, itching or heating sensation may be temporarily experienced.
